March 21 marks the International Day of Forests, which has been celebrated since 2012 to raise awareness about forests. This year’s theme is Forest restoration: a path to recovery and well-being.
To celebrate this day, CENN, with the support of the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and in partnership with the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia, launched a tree planting and clean-up campaign in Krtsanisi Forest Park. The event was attended by the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia, the Parliamentary Committee on Environment and Natural Resources, the National Forest Agency, the National Wildlife Agency, Sabuko, members of the campaign “Keep Georgia Beautiful” – Pasha Bank, Gymnasium Shavnabada and Innovation Center, Carrefour supermarket chain and Young Environmentalists.
