The project focuses on advancing waste prevention and promoting circular economy in Kakheti and Adjara AR regions of Georgia. It addresses three key waste streams packaging, biodegradable and construction and demolition. The project collaborates with a diverse range of stakeholders including civil society, public and private sectors, academia, media and the general public. By strengthening local actors, it aims to promote climate resilience, ensure a just transition to sustainable practices, enhance resource efficiency and foster sustainable consumption and production.
The goal of the project is to create scalable, inclusive, and collaborative waste prevention and circular economy solutions. It facilitates dialogue and learning through platforms like the Circular Economy Dialogue Platform, the Georgia Circular Economy Knowledge Hub, and specialized training programs. Additionally, the project develops and pilots practical solutions, supported by industrial networks, financial aid, and technical guidance. Behavior change is an integral part of the project’s mission, achieved through public awareness initiatives such as CIRCOLUTION campaigns and educational resources that inspire communities to adopt circular practices and work toward a sustainable, waste-free society.
