From August 24 to September 6, five-day educational camps were held at the “Green Center” in Bulachauri for teachers from finalist schools of the Niko Ketskhoveli School Award.
The camps featured educational sessions on topics such as sustainable forest management, the Sustainable Development Goals, working with vulnerable groups, effective presentation techniques, outdoor learning concepts, energy-efficient technologies, and informal learning practices.
Teachers also had the opportunity to meet with the organizers of the Niko Ketskhoveli School Award, where they discussed details for the current and upcoming competition years and reflected on the activities of the previous year.
Participants engaged in various cognitive activities both inside and outside the camp. During an educational visit, the teachers toured the Bazaleti Energy Efficiency Center, where they learned about buildings powered by renewable energy sources and the implementation of energy-efficient technologies in schools and homes.
The camps were organized by CENN, with financial support from the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC), as part of the “Green Caucasus” project.
