CENN hosted an online workshop on LDN Oriented Sustainable Pasture Management within the “Achieving Land Degradation Neutrality Targets of Georgia through Restoration and Sustainable Management of Degraded Pasturelands” project, funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
The following issues were discussed during the workshop: (1) Key aspects and systems of sustainable pasture management, and (2) Use of LDN for pasture restoration, management and monitoring at national and local levels.
The speaker at the workshop was Nicholas Sharpe, an international pasture field expert. The online seminar was interactive and approximately 40 participants attended the event.
The “Achieving Land Degradation Neutrality Targets of Georgia through Restoration and Sustainable Management of Degraded Pasturelands” project is initiated by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and financed by the Global Environment Facility (GEF). The project is implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the executive organization is the Regional Environmental Centre for the Caucasus (REC Caucasus), and the project partner is CENN.
