The National Plastic Waste Prevention Program has been developed with the assistance of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in line with the requirements of the Waste Management Code, the National Waste Management Strategy (2016-2030), and the National Waste Management Action Plan of Georgia. The NPWPP considers best international practices related to plastic management presented in the strategic documents, such as: the European Green Deal, an EU action plan for Circular Economy and a European Strategy for Plastics in a Circular Economy.
