The National Plastic Waste Prevention Program (hereinafter – NPWPP) has been developed in line with the requirements of the Waste Management Code, the National Waste Management Strategy (2016-2030), and the National Waste Management Action Plan of Georgia. The NPWPP considers best international practices related to plastic management presented in the strategic documents, such as: the European Green Deal1, an EU action plan for Circular Economy2 and a European Strategy for Plastics in a Circular Economy3. Moreover, the NPWPP will support Georgia in meeting SDG goals for 2030.
