CENN, with support from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Norway, in collaboration with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, has launched a school challenge SOS Plastic to encourage schools and pupils to stop consuming single-use plastics. The competition aims to encourage students and teachers to avoid single-use plastic items and try to investigate their plastic footprint.
During the competition, selected schools will undergo thematic trainings regarding plastic pollution and waste management. Each school will create a customised action plan with mentor support and carry out diverse environmental initiatives.
After the competition, 3 schools with the best campaign will be awarded special prizes.
