Waste Management Technologies in Regions, Phase II (WMTR II) announces a Christmas competition, Our Christmas Tree, for school students, university students and any creative person.
Goal of the competition:
• Involve public general in environmental activities;
• Support launching of new initiatives and development of creative vision among youths.
• Promote the concept of reusing things and organizing Christmas exhibition and sales for charity purposes
Who can participate: school students, university students and any person with a creative outlook who can revive old things with his/her own hands.
Description of the competition:
Those wishing to participate in the competition in October and November of the current year are to send photos of handiwork items on a Christmas theme prepared by them from recyclable products. The participants can use recyclable items to produce hand-made Christmas trees, Christmas toys, various decorations, souvenirs, etc. It is also possible to prepare a design for Christmas greeting cards on separation and recycling theme.
Fancy works made of the received materials will be posted on a Facebook page where 20 participants selected by jury and Facebook likes before the end of November will participate in preparation for the Christmas exhibition and sales organized by CENN.
In the end of November, selected participants will travel to CENN Green Camp in Bulachauri where they will prepare more Christmas souvenirs together with mentors.
Above-mentioned products will be presented at a charitable Christmas exhibition and sales.
Innovative participants will be awarded interesting prizes.
