CENN, with the financial support of the Global Environment Facility (GEF), continues training sessions for farmers.
Up to 50 participants from Gurjaani, Dmanisi, and Kazbegi municipalities were trained on the topics of sustainable pasture management. The training included the following topics: policy and legislation of pasture management, sustainable pasture management approaches, and restoration measures.
The farmers’ field training sessions were implemented within the “Achieving Land Degradation Neutrality Targets of Georgia through Restoration and Sustainable Management of Degraded Pasturelands” project, which is being initiated by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and financed by the Global Environment Facility (GEF). The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) implement the project. The Regional Environmental Centre for the Caucasus (REC Caucasus) is an executive organization and CENN is the project partner.
