On 1 May 2017, CENN, with EU’s support, started a project Optimising the Potential of Local Assets for Rural Development of Keda Municipality.
The overall objective of the project is to reduce poverty through optimal use of local resource and potential as well as promoting rural development.
The project will foster the diversification of local economic activities, climate smart and competitive agriculture, popularization of resource efficient environmental practices and attract investments for the Municipality.
The project applies LEADER methodology – a European model for rural development, which implies the inclusion of local actors as implementers rather than beneficiaries.
The following three activities will be implemented within the project:
Establishment and capacity building of the Keda Local Action Group (LAG);
Participatory Development of Gender and Youth Sensitive Keda Rural Development Strategy;
Implementation of innovative projects through sub-grants under the strategy;
