USAID / CENN Waste Management Program and ProCredit Bank have signed a Memorandum to support the waste recycling sector in Georgia.
The aim of the cooperation is to promote the development of the waste recycling sector and to introduce modern waste management standards in Georgia, as well as to raise the awareness about the waste recycling sector in the country.
On December 6, a Memorandum of Understanding was officially signed between the two agencies. The document was signed by the Bank’s Chief Executive Officer Alex Matua and CENN Chief Executive Director Nana Janashia.
The collaboration will include: offering tailor-made services to companies operating in the waste management sector, as green finance is the strategic direction of the bank; organizing joint internship programs at the bank; study visits in the “green building” of the bank to see different approaches of waste reduction and other joint educational and awareness raising activities, such as trainings and seminars, etc., in order to facilitate the development of the waste management sector in the country.
