CENN, with the financial support of HEKS-EPER, officially opened a demonstration plot (greenhouse for vegetable seedling production) and hosted a media tour.
Representatives from the media learned about the impacts of climate change on agriculture, climate resilient and environmentally-friendly agricultural practices, got acquainted with the theory and practice of greenhouse arrangement and principles of vegetable seedling production. By the end of the event, interested parties participated in the seedling substrate making and seeding of various vegetable crops.
Together with the donor and implementing organizations, representatives of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture (MEPA), the Rural Development Agency (RDA), Marneuli City Hall, “Cartlis” company experts and members of the female farmers agricultural cooperative “Green Maradisi” attended the event.
The official opening of the demonstration plot and the media tour was convened within the “Climate Resilient Agriculture – PRAISE Marneuli” project, which is implemented by CENN with the financial support of HEKS-EPER. The overall objective of the project is to support income generation opportunities of vulnerable populations in Marneuli Municipality through the development and promotion of environmentally friendly and climate-resilient agricultural (CRA) practices.
