Within the framework of the “Green Guria” project, supported by the European Union, numerous business initiatives have been funded, introducing entirely new, modern standards to the local market. These projects prove that there is significant potential for implementing innovative ideas in Guria, where technological progress and local needs merge harmoniously.
A prominent example of the region’s economic development is the “Agrodrone” initiative in the village of Shukhuti, led by Lasha Khukhunaishvili and Giorgi Chkhaidze, who acquired a 40-liter agricultural drone. The use of modern technology allows local farmers to save resources, detect plant diseases in time, and achieve maximum yields with minimal costs. This is a vital step toward establishing “smart farming” in Guria, making agriculture more efficient and competitive.
Innovative approaches have also reached the food industry – Akaki Dolidze’s project introduced the first European-style mobile food unit, “Barbossa,” to Ozurgeti. The unit is fully equipped with a solar-powered system, making it an eco-friendly business. This initiative is a prime example of sustainable development, as it simultaneously offers high-quality service to consumers and reduces environmental impact – one of the key requirements of modern business.
The improvement of the service sector continues in Lanchkhuti, where Lasha Gvardjaladze established a modern self-service car wash and accessories space. This all-in-one car care facility allows customers to save time and energy in a comfortable environment. Equipping the facility with the latest technology directly impacts the speed and quality of service, establishing an entirely new service culture in the local market.
Special attention has also been paid to the development of the social and entertainment environment. Ekaterine Tsertsvadze’s entertainment service, “Magic World,” sets a new standard for organizing children’s celebrations in Lanchkhuti. The inventory and equipment acquired through the project allow any location to be transformed into a high-level entertainment space, providing local families with access to quality leisure activities.
These initiatives, supported by the European Union and CENN, prove that Guria is ready to implement innovations across various business sectors. Such support creates a sustainable foundation for job creation, the empowerment of local entrepreneurs, and the overall economic prosperity of the region.
