CENN, with the financial support of HEKS-EPER, promotes environmental education among young people from Marneuli municipality.
With the initiative of the Marneuli Girls’ Empowerment Club, a tree planting activity and an open discussion on economic, social and environmental aspects of green spaces and youth role in creating and conserving green spaces were conducted in two villages of Marneuli municipality: Maradisi and Tsitelsopeli.
20 Armenian and Georgian young people were involved in the event. Participants expressed their willingness to collaborate in the future and plan joint activities in their villages.
The tree-planting activity and the open discussion were convened within the “Climate Resilient Agriculture – PRAISE Marneuli” project, which is implemented by CENN with the financial support of HEKS-EPER. The overall objective of the project is to support income generation opportunities of vulnerable populations in Marneuli Municipality through the development and promotion of environmentally friendly and climate-resilient agricultural (CRA) practices.
