In the framework of the EU-supported ongoing “Green Guria – Supporting Local Democracy and Rural Development for Inclusive and Resilient Green Growth” project, the members of the Local Action Group (LAG) in Lanchkhuti elected the chairman and co-chairmen of the LAG governing board.
The management board of Lanchkhuti has one chairman and two co-chairmen, who were elected by the members of the board through voting. Irakli Gikashvili became the chairman of Chokhatauri management board, and his co-chairmen will be Tamar Chichua and Gela Zoidze.
Chokhatauri LAG has 15 members of the management board, they are:

In the near future, the members of the management board of Lanchkhuti LAG will start active work in the directions of development of rural development strategy and institutional strengthening of LAG, through various organizational and thematic trainings.
The project plans to establish a Local Action Group (LAG) in all three municipalities of the Guria region (Ozurgeti, Chokhatauri and Lanchkhuti). The LAG is an active citizens’ union composed of representatives of the municipality, private, public and civil sectors, which is involved in determining the priorities of rural development, developing the local development strategy of the municipality, and implementing and monitoring grant projects corresponding with the strategy.
The “Green Guria – Supporting Local Democracy and Rural Development for Inclusive and Resilient Green Growth” project is implemented by CENN in cooperation with partner organisations: the Young Pedagogues’ Union, the Institute of Democracy, and the Local Action Group of KEDA (LAG), supported by the European Union within the European Neighbourhood Program for Rural and Agricultural Development ENPARD IV.
