Introducing Bolt, an Estonian company that operates in 45 countries around the world, including Georgia. Bolt is participating in the Beat Plastic Pollution competition, and it has taken a number of steps to reduce single-use plastic in the office.
“Bolt’s mission is to make cities for people and to reduce the number of private cars to create a better environment. To achieve this goal, we offer customers environmentally friendly transport alternatives and actively involve ourselves in various green projects, both locally and globally. However, taking care of the environment starts from the office and our daily activities.
To raise employees’ awareness of sustainable development, we have launched a project in which each employee is actively involved. Single-use plastics are eliminated from the daily life of the office, and sorting bins are placed to segregate waste. Sustainable development and its promotion are continuous processes; therefore, we continue implementing this culture in our workplace and beyond.” Irine Shikhiashvili, People Specialist.
The competition is organised with financial support from the German government within the Reducing Single-use Plastic Consumption project, which is implemented by CENN with support from GIZ, Prevent Waste Alliance, RARE and in partnership with ProCredit Bank. The media partner of the project is BMG.
