The Caucasus Social Innovation Grant Competition was launched in 2020 by CENN and NGO Green Lane with the financial support of the European Union, under the project EU4Youth: Social Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Development (SEED) for Green Growth. The aim of the Caucasus Social Innovation Grant Competition was to fund outstanding social and green business ideas in the border regions of Georgia and Armenia.
The main goal of the competition was to strengthen the youth (18-29 years old), vulnerable groups living in rural areas, eco-migrants and ethnic minorities. This catalogue presents 27 youth enterprises funded under the competition (Georgia – 13, Armenia – 14), whose activities cover areas such as sustainable waste management, ecotourism, agriculture, eco-production, healthcare, etc.
