CENN, with the financial support of the Global Environment Facility (GEF), continues training sessions for farmers.
Up to 30 participants from Gurjaani, Dmanisi, and Kazbegi municipalities were trained on the topics of livestock farm management. The training included the following topics: The training included an overview of farm planning and standards, breeds common in Georgia and the world, their breeding processes, nutrition and feed production.
The farmers’ training sessions were implemented within the “Achieving Land Degradation Neutrality Targets of Georgia through Restoration and Sustainable Management of Degraded Pasturelands” project, which is being initiated by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and financed by the Global Environment Facility (GEF). The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) implement the project. The Regional Environmental Centre for the Caucasus (REC Caucasus) is an executive organization and CENN is the project partner.
