The third working meeting of the Circular Economy Dialogue Platform was held in Kakheti, aiming to strengthen and practically implement circular solutions in the region.
Who are the platform members?
The Circular Economy Dialogue Platform is a regional network that brings together civil society organizations, educational institutions, and entrepreneurs. The members of the platform share a common goal — to develop and implement circular and sustainable approaches in their respective communities.
What was the main topic of the meeting?
Each platform meeting is tailored to the needs and interests of its participants. This time, the discussions were based on participants’ real-life experiences.
The meeting addressed challenges faced in viticulture and other farming activities, as well as successful practices for implementing circular and sustainable approaches. Platform members received practical recommendations from sector experts on addressing existing challenges and strengthening circular practices. These approaches play a key role in using resources more efficiently, reducing waste, and returning it to production cycles.
The platform will continue to work on identifying challenges and developing joint solutions in the future.
News – The Circular Academy has started
Following the working meeting of the Circular Economy Dialogue Platform, the first Circular Academy training was held. Representatives of the platform member organizations learned about the basic principles of circular economy, as well as practical examples of modern and innovative approaches.
Based on the knowledge gained, participants defined and planned specific circular initiatives to be implemented within their organizations and business activities.
The training was led by Nana Takvarelia from CENN and Otar Antia, a circular economy expert from the Investors’ Council.
Similar Circular Academy trainings are planned for the future and will be accessible to representatives from various sectors.
Results and future outlook
Such practical meetings and trainings help translate theoretical knowledge into practical solutions and strengthen cooperation between entrepreneurs and organizations operating in the region.
The Circular Economy Dialogue Platform will continue to serve as a space for knowledge sharing, experience exchange, and development of joint initiatives, ensuring the effective and sustainable implementation of circular solutions in the region.
The Circular Economy Dialogue Platform and Circular Academy is a part of the EU-funded project “Circular Cities and Regions in Georgia,” implemented by CENN in cooperation with ICLEI Europe. The project aims to strengthen climate resilience in Georgia and support a just transition by promoting the planning and implementation of waste reduction and circular economy initiatives.
