Despite their potential and natural resources, countries of the Caucasus region are net importers of agricultural products. Furthermore, due to climate change and other global crises scenario, the state of food security and nutrition in the region is under threat. To ensure that the population has access to nutritious, safe, and affordable food, improvements in the primary production, supply chains, and reduction of food loss and waste is urgently needed.
In an attempt to reduce hunger and malnutrition, CENN is working with various stakeholders to improve the productivity of the agricultural sector in a sustainable way, facilitate the strengthening of an Agri-Food value chain and reduce food loss and food waste in the supply chain.
