Community-Led Local Development is a new model when local people form local partnerships that design and implement integrated development strategies. This approach helps to increase employment and skills of rural people and involve them to address local challenges that eventually lead to sustainable rural development.
CENN successfully piloted LCCD model in the regions of Georgia and created Local Action Groups (LAG) from active community members to support local actors overcome existing development constraints. We support community members to promote inclusive governance, create a common vision and participatory initiatives for rural development, apply effective agricultural practices, innovative approaches, and new technologies, and create business linkages with market players.
CENN, through the promotion of Community-Led Local Development, supports approaches and activities, which lead to reaching economic, environmental, and social goals of rural development.
