Agricultural systems in the Caucasus region need to increase their outputs in a sustainable manner and at the same time adapt to the adverse effects of climate change and the loss of fertile lands to meet the demands of the population.
CENN promotes sustainable agriculture and farming practices by capacity building of the farmers, which, among many others, includes the establishment of demonstration plots and organization of field days and farmer field schools to emphasize the long- and short-term benefits of sustainable agricultural practices while reducing the environmental impact of the sector. CENN supports strategic planning of the sector through partnership and cooperation between government, the private sector, and non-governmental and international organizations.
