Within the frames of the EU-supported EMBRACE Tsalka project, implemented by CENN and partner organizations, the “EMBRACE Tsalka” festival took place in Tsalka. The festival was organized by CENN and the Tsalka LAG.
The festival aimed to raise awareness about Tsalka Municipality. It gathered young people, local entrepreneurs, government officials, organizers and other guests together in Tsalka in one space to exchange their experience and knowledge.
During the festival, the entrepreneurs organized an exhibition of products for sale, start-ups, small businesses and other EU-funded projects. Festival guests interested in a touristic adventure joined the tourist route organized in Tsalka Canyon and got acquainted with the tourist potential of Tsalka.
A live concert performed by girl’s band, Scarlet, and the singer, Marita Rokhvadze, was held at the end of the festival.
The EU delegation to Georgia, farmers, businesses, executive government, representatives of international, and local and agricultural organizations also attended the event.
The festival was held in Tsalka within the framework of the “EMBRACE Tsalka” project, funded by the European Union and implemented by CENN in partnership with the Georgian Farmers’ Association (GFA) and the Rural Development Research Institute (Ifls). The project aims to diversify local economic activities, attract investment and promote specific agricultural and environmental practices through participatory, strategic planning of rural development.
