Environmental degradation and exploitation of natural resources represent one of the key challenges in the Caucasus region. The region is prone to a range of hazards, which can result in casualties, damages to infrastructure, and economic loss. These are often caused by unsustainable use of natural resources, economic activities, and improper waste management.
With this in mind, CENN in close cooperation with partner organizations are working with communities, the government, and businesses to steer development towards sustainable solutions through capacity building of stakeholders and supporting the introduction of green and innovative practices.
Moreover, CENN programs contribute to the delivery of commitments taken by the government of Georgia under the SDGs, NDC, and EU AA with regard to sustainable use of natural resources.
