We would like to congratulate our team and IRAO for becoming the winners of the Prevent Waste Alliance pilot programme!
CENN was awarded the BE.novative prize at the Circular Solutions Festival.
Our team has been working for many years at different levels to help support modern waste management practices in the country and to reduce the generation of waste that is harmful to our health and environment.
This year we launched a pilot project in collaboration with the Prevent Waste Alliance and with support from GIZ. The project aimed to reduce single-use plastic consumption in the Tbilisi offices. We worked with the incredible team at IRAO – who as a result and with their dedication to the cause – changed their internal policies and will be consuming 33,000 less plastic bags every year. IRAO also established a recycling system within the office.
The project was presented at the Circular Economy Festival in Berlin, on Monday 12th September.
