CENN, with the support of the European Union (EU) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), is launching a training course for local women from mountainous Adjara in the field of gastronomic tourism in order to strengthen the entrepreneurial abilities of women.
Within the framework of the project, 22 women entrepreneurs and those interested in entrepreneurial activities from Khulo and Keda municipalities will participate in the training course, which compiles interactive trainings, workshops, study visits, and practical seminars.
The training module covers the following topics: gastronomic tourism as an important part of cultural tourism, the role of gastronomic tourism in the development of the country’s economy, gastro tourism and sustainable development, modern trends, best practices and challenges, gastronomy and the potential of Adjara, development of a gastronomic tourism product, the use of digital technologies in gastro tourism, etc.
In the next phase of the project, pilot ideas will be implemented, and the creation/development of 4 local gastro-tourism products will be financed in the framework of the project. During the final stage of the project, a network of women entrepreneurs from Khulo and Keda municipalities, who work in the field of gastro-tourism, will be created. The project is implemented in cooperation with the Keda Rural Women’s Council and Khulo Women’s Room.
The project is implemented within the framework of the “Improving Rural Development in Georgia” program, with the support of the European Union (EU) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The goal of the project is to develop entrepreneurial opportunities for local women through the promotion of gastro-tourism. At the same time, the project promotes the development of cooperation, support and networking among local women entrepreneurs.
